Help! Truck won't start.....sometimes!?!

Ok, I'll try n make this shirt and simple, truck is an 85 originally a 22re, now had 22r in it, still has the 22re computer in it I'm just using the needed wires. Occasionally when I turn the key I hear a click from the passenger side kick panel but starter doesn't turn or click, if I jump the starter wire to the battery it fires up no problem, could I have a bad relay or ign switch?? Please help

Check connections going from battery to starter. Its either a bad connection or bad starter
