help please!

hi guys
calling out for help need to get my 60 back on the road after 1 year of siting down It always run just last year did not pass emision test So last week i started with tune up ,JimC carb ,plugs ,wires,fuel filter,clean k&n air filter,adjust timing and it still smoke white The worst part is now it backfires Now I think I need some help
any ideas??

When you say "white smoke" are you describing the "normal" condenstation after a cold start or are you getting billowing white smoke. What does the smoke smell like? anti-freeze?

After having Jim C rebuild your carb it should be plug and play (my experience any way). Try PMing Jim for some pointers. Backfire normally means you're runing lean so it's possible that you have a vacuum leak.

well smoke is not sweet at all it run rich before the tune up but it never backfire and the thing is it only backfires on the start up it all pinpoint on vacum leak and I will call Jim tomorow
man the history of my truck at least 5 last years got too much work in it
i am so tired of it but still love it
