Had a small amount of play that felt/sounded like it was coming from this part. Had a brand new one still on bag in parts stash, so decided to change it out. later realized that I could possibly change out just the bearing, but I didn't have just the bearing anyway... I have the whole steering assembly out now and have decided to give it a good cleaning and paint job, however , as the title says, I cannot figure out how to take it off. I don't want to beat it with a hammer if it should come off easily. Looking at the new one, I can see a spring-loaded part inside that must have something to do with the wheel lock. If anyone has done this and knows how to remove it, please advise. Pics attached. Thanx in advance.
