help! need real time help-engine surging

been to hell and we maybe on our way back, thanks to all of you and to Performance Techniques here is their website Performance Techniques - Turbo, Turbos, and Turbochargers - For all your turbo needs! i was in and out of there in 1 hour, i know you may not believe that but i got the turbo to prove it.

They are a quality outfit. I bought two turbos from them when I lived in CA. I had a 2.3l Ford turbocoupe engine in a sandrail I built. They supplied the turbos.

we just want to thank you all for your help. it was great to go to the mechanic in las vegas, nevada and tell them "it is the turbo". this avoided the cost of diagnostics which would have taken much more time and money. we are also fortunate to find a turbo rebuilder like performance technic in san bernardino, california. according to performance technic, the failure was caused by the main thrust bearing failure. soon as we get enough money save up we are gonna get a back up turbo build by them.

we are now back from our trip and experience no more problem. here are some pictures.

Good to see you are all sorted now. When things like that go wrong it can spoil a holiday however you got through OK,Well done. Good luck with the new turbo. From what others have said It sounds like you can have confidence in their rebuild of the old turbo.
