Good news, bought a new Mr T o ring and put her back together. 3 cans of r134 later, and we have cold AC. Still not sure if/ when any of the parts I ordered will arrive. thanks to all who responded... God smiled on me today and let the broken bolt back out. after that, we were rolling... wish I tried the rescue on Sunday, LOL.

You dodged that one nicely.

Did you add any oil when you recharged the AC, or did the cans have oil already in them in addition to the refrigerant?

I tried to funnel some oil into the condenser. I had a hard time adding it. the R134 had oil in it as well. based on what I'm reading, the condenser rarely fails. Im hoping the o ring was the source of the leak, and will be monitoring the area for future leaks. based on what I'm seeing, I think my condenser is old and my system would run better on a new condenser. at this point, any AC is better than no AC. I will probably still swap my condenser this fall/winter.

PS- I ended up buying an m6 20mm bolt from the autoparts store. thats the bolt that failed that I replaced. I asked MR T for the proper bolt, and the guy couldn't find the part number. I hope its right.

update- Replaced my condenser... Paid a shop to do it. AC is blowing Cold AF. Hopefully this solves my leak!!!
