Honger that switch for the parking brake is super sensitive too - doesn't take much to activate it. Nice thing is it is very accessible so you can do little adjustments very easily. Glad this helped you too!

So what was actually the culprit? Did the old switch not give you the 2 clicks?

I didn't realize there were two clicks. My old switch had it so it probably was fine - but one of the PO's tapped into it and damaged some of the sheathing so copper was exposed.

Once I understood how the switch worked and could do the adjustment. I did need to move the end of the brake booster out about a 1/4" to help. There is about 1/4" left in that threaded attachment I tightened down the nut really well to ensure it was going nowhere.
