Well i must introduce myself. i have been following this site for some time now. i appreciate the love for the trucks and kick myself for selling my '71 FJ40. i didnt want to say hello until i had taken ownership of my new FJ 55, what a wait. it has been six years since i sold my FJ40 and needed to have another cruiser. i thought i wanted a FJ45 looked at a couple but wasnt happy, then i found my new to me FJ55. She is a Feb. 1979 FJ 55 with power stearting, and breaks. i live in central Florida and found my new cruiser in Medford Oregon. it has taken me six weeks to get her hear and now i am so happy to have her. she is everything i wanted, the dog loves it, he likes it better than the Tahoe he used to be shuttled around in.
The PO has taken great care of her and has no rust, the frame is in great condition, the seats have no rips and are original and yes the rear window rolls up and down. She also has 54,XXX original miles.
i look forward to the projects and the guidance from the members. i have seen alot on the threads and have come up with many ideas. Now that my PIG is here i can start to make her mine. i look forward to enjoying my new 55.

db---:beer:Welcome to the Pig Sty of 55's:beer:Congrats on your new rig!!!(and the patience for waiting to get it from across the country) You'll find a lot of help from the most knowledgeable folks around...I know I've learned a lot. Nice looking rig and the background shots look like a nice place to be. Interesting looking rig in the background-like some kinda super cool ATV--Cheers, Dave

ps...and the glass rolls up and down! Must be nice...lucky dog.

I thought I say a putty tat.

Welcome, great story. Is that a factory pto winch? Disc brake front end and ps, actually, not a big fan of collector rumor mongering, but those 79s' are the cream of the crop. Enjoy!

Congrats on your new Piggy.

You'll find all the info you need for your rig here - this forum is a great resource.
You should buy a silver star for $20.00.It supports the site and allows you to post up as many pics as you (and we) want.

Oh,and welcome to Mud.:flipoff2:
