I know you are getting tired of hearing this, because you have been going on some great trips, but Wish We Were There!!!

I'm having fun trimming out the garage, painting and doing other home improvement projects, yeah for me.

It's looking like we are heading that way right after Christmas.

Looking forward to the pics.

Looking forward to the pics. I hope Hunter Mountain treats you well. The rest of it is easy.

I'll try to post pictures tomorrow.
Hunter Mt was cake.
Lippencott bothered :princess:, something about a shear drop right out side her door made her skeered. She was also a bit worried because we were solo.
Titus canyon today was fantastic. We could have driven the Mercury over the road, but the sceanery was...... incredible.

I may save some of the pictures for a piece in Toyota Trails. I might need some help on that, Keith?????????:grinpimp:
I'll be killing some time tomorrow while :princess: is busy, I'll try to post pics then.

Oh yeah Carnage report, the PS window regulator failed at the race track.
:princess: wore a beany cap back to the hotel, Hunter MT is almost 8K IIRC.
It was a bit cool.
I got the window up at the hotel in the parking lot that night.

so was this trip in lieu of GGG?
Im glad that you had a good time!
Did you guyz make it to the Sailine springs?
Did you camp at all, or was it hotel camping the whole time?

K

We might've crossed paths, the family and I hit stovepipe via lone pine just at sunset on the 17th, stayed in furnace creek, and toured the area between there and badwater on the 18th. Beautiful, even when viewed from the asphalt.

GGG, no :princess: had business in LV so we combined travel for and fun.

No on Saline Springs, we cut over the Panamints on the Lippencott Mine road.

We had planned to camp Wed night but the schedule changed and we came home early.

I didn't see any 55's. I think we were in different areas. We were in Panimint on the 17th. Saline Valley/Racetrack area on the 18th. We gassed up at Stove pipe on the 19th, did a quick loop of Titus Canyon then blasted into LV.

There are a lot of things to see from the pavement, there are even a few roads that are 2WD. West Side road is your basic desert gravel road, there are some great views from it.

The 55 isn't roadworthy yet, we were in the Magnum. There was definitely a day's worth of seeing from the pavement in our area. We'll go back and camp another year, this was our first trip through.

On other trips the Magnum has seen more dirt roads than most people's 4WDs.
Present company excluded.

Damn I cant wait to go back in April...
Most people do not appreciate the beauty of the desert, but I LOVE it down there. Its a HAPPY PLACE for me!
There is sooooo much cool stuff to see and do there.

Here's a few of mine, if you want to see the whole gallery or full size pics PM me - I keep passwords on the galleries with pics of the family.

First, the first part.

I flew to Vegas and back the week before, I'm pretty sure this is Death Valley from the plane:

Who knew there's a museum in Vegas? Way cool.

Back to the point. Flew home, then hit the road the next day, stopping briefly at Mono.
