hella headlights

I have the Hella light set up for the 24 volt system like a lot of people. I seem to go threw a lot of bulbs, Is this normal for others?

Not normal with heavy duty diesel service bulbs. Most people go for the cheapest bulb they can get... false economy.

I recommend Volvo part # 973892-3
H4 24v 75/70W Heavy Duty

They are designed for Volvo off-road diesel equipment, and a comparison with a cheapo bulb shows obvious differences, like heavier gauge materials throughout.

Look in the yellow pages or on-line for Volvo off-road equipment dealers or service centres. In our town it happens to be Inland Kenworth.

I've been using the same pair of Hella 24V 90W bulbs for the last two years with no issues. Perhaps there's an electrical issue?

I'm using the 100 watt hella bulbs over a year now....it might have to do with your headlamp not being shock absorbing.
