Is it feasible to run a 1HDT on heating oil?

It is my understanding that the only difference between the two is road tax.

I don’t want to risk damage to my engine (or injector pump) just because I am trying to save a buck!

In an emergency you can burn a lot of things, I would not do it to save a few bucks.

I would not do it on a regular basis, there is enough of a difference to do damage over time.

Yep.

That is what I was thinking as well, but just thought I would float the question out there to see if anyone had done it or if anyone knew to absolutely not do it.

The cost of a new engine certainly is way more than any potential savings in fuel costs.
