Installed OEM brass heater Ts on my truck (and a buddy's) a few weeks back. Used the part numbers given from Cruiser Patch site at my local dealer (since the kit from Cruiser Patch was sold out). Everything seems to be holding fine, have driven around 1500 miles since the replacement with no issue. However, looking at PartSouq site, I see that there are 3 different clips with 3 unique part numbers, while Cruiser Patch site only listed 2 unique part numbers for clips.

Cruiser Patch
  • Hose clamp (8x): 96134-42100
  • Clip (4x): 90467-19022

Part Souq (4x of each part number below)

Can anyone confirm if 9613652101 and 9613442100 are actually different diameters? Not particularly wanting to change out 4 of these clips but I will if there's concern of damage to the metal hose barbs, or possibility for leakage.

The Toyota parts catalog is wrong when it comes to the constant torque clamps in the heater Tees.
So the kit from CruiserPatch is correct (first image) and part number 9613652101 (going to metal barbs to heater core and metal barbs on the engine block, second image) is not needed (can just use part number 9613442100 for these connection points)?

Correct. I ordered what Partsouq shows and it's very obvious the clamps they list in the diagram are wrong.
Weird, and kinda annoying. Guess I'll relax on this front. Thankya for the reply and clarification!

I made the same mistake and had to re-order clamps.

If the ones you have are doing well then you should be good. If you got the information from Patch's site then it should be correct. Dude knows his stuff.

'03 LX 470 My son had this work done out of state for leaking antifreeze. Does this look like a heater tee repair? I don't know if OEM. Is there a significant problem with traditional hose clamps here? comments welcome.

You want to get OEM constant tension clamps. The worm clamps pictured are liable to eat through the rubber hoses over time.

I don't know why it is so common to replace constant tension clamps with worm clamps, but I see it all the time. 🙄

Anything that has pressure behind it should never use worm clamps.
Worm clamps in a pinch only until you can replace them with proper constant tension ones.

Not sure if anyone is still wondering but the OEM T does indeed have different size clamps for the lower part of the T since the diameter is slightly different
