Heater overhaul ?? (1 Viewer)

In reading the heater upgrade FAQ section I noticed mention of replacing the steal fan with a plastic one. (Front heater of an FJ40)

Has anyone tried this ?

In conjuction with the plastic fan, will a good cleaning and overhaul of the motor give you a boost without replacing the entire thing ? Or is the 'swapping it out' option the way to go ?

ive upgraded my 70 and 2 69s with late model heater motors with plastic fans and it made a big difference. cleaning also helps + the alternater needs to be working right good luck

I would also check to make sure the fins in the heater core aren't plugged. It's not like a land cruiser ever sees any dirt or mud
