I have looked and can't find any info on this.

Is anyone familiar with the differences between the front heater core from pre 8/96 and post 8/96?

They are different part numbers and the pre 8/96 version is no longer available (as far as I can find).

Is the post 8/96 version usable in a pre 8/96 cruiser?

new heater cores dont look the same as OEM?!

i removed the heater core out of my LX450 and i wanted to make sure i knew what it looked like before i ordered a replacement. well, now that its out..ii cannot find one that matches. all the ones on line dont have any lines coming off the heater core and im not sure why. has anyone bought...

I see Beto’s response there, but in that case the owner was using an aftermarket core from what I can tell. There are other strings that say that the air box has to be swapped for a post 8/96. So conflicting info.

I was hoping someone with firsthand knowledge of putting a factory post 8/96 heater core in a pre 8/96 cruiser.

Old style comes with pipes connected

The new one you need to get the 2 pipes separately
