I wish I would have come across this thread earlier, as I had purchased one last year, but then subsequently read that you shouldn't use them in a tent. Went camping last week, and it was down to 0C.

Like the idea of small wood stove. I'll have to look into that.
 
We use small wood stoves in tents. plus no worry of co2...
Firsy off, it's CO, as in carbon monoxide. 2nd, what kind of wood are you burning that doesn't create CO???

And to answer another question, specific gravity of CO is .97. That means it's lighter than air (which is 1), but barely. Technically, it should rise, not sink.

Ah shucks, you got me. Since I assume your the type that likes to play "gotcha". Good job sparky you deserve a bone.
 
The buddy heaters were designed to be safe for use in tents, just keep a flap open or window cracked.
 
We let the lab sleep in the tent so an open flap is already required. That dog can fart. I'll look into this little buddy. I had not heard of it before today.
