I'm sort of a electronics geek, and get a kick out of wizz-bang things. With that said - is anyone using a Heads-Up Display via ODBII? If so - how do you like it?

I've had HUD in two vehicles and really liked it. I sourced a decent projector and the material to apply to the windshield but had n interest in cutting holes in my dash pad.

This one looks like it's surface mount?

Yeah, no big holes in the dash cover. A few fastener holes or some good quality Velcro might do the trick here. A custom mounting foot for the 80 for a decent HUD might be desirable if people take to this. Seems 3D-printerefic...

Seen this in a customer car and thought it was cool, was really visible even during the day. I had factory heads up unit in my 240sx years ago and always thought it was nice to have. I considered getting it for my rigs now after seeing it but have yet to pull the trigger.

I went ahead and ordered one. I'll post how it works out in my build thread.

Looking forward to seeing your install. At that price ($60~) I can see one in my future if the mounting doesn't look like a kludge from outside.

I noted it looks like it will display temperature, the most important number besides whether you're breaking the speed limit in an 80.

Funny. Yesterday, while searching for a rear camera system to use with my iPad, I came across that thing. Subscribed.

I bought 2 different Wiiyii Chinese Huds from Amazon over the past week. Neither of them would work with my 97 lx450, and I have no idea why when I have a BT reader that I can use with my phone with no oroblems..I was trying to save money
..but may just bite the bullet on an ultraguage
