Headlight upgrade options

Im trying to be budget friendly with my LX450 as I do not intend to keep it long term but I need some new headlights and a rear light. I figured that id just do all of them at the same time instead of doing it piecemeal. From what I have gathered on other threads is that plopping LEDs into the stock housings on U.S. spec 80s will blind everyone coming at me and I don't wanna be THAT guy. Does anyone have any suggestions on something better than stock I can slap in? I'm sure the taillights could all be LED though right? anyone have the bulb #s?

Cheapest slap-in "upgrade" (not a massive difference, but better) is 9011 & 9012 HIR bulbs instead of standard 9005 & 6, just have to trim the tabs a tiny bit. Personally, that works well for my daily driving needs, but may not be good enough for the preferences of some. Some do 9011 (highs) in lows for more light output, they just don't last as long. If doing that, you'll need to add the o-rings from the old lows, as the highs have a smaller base.

Only mentioning as you didn't, although not assuming you don't already know - if doing new housings to go LED the right way, keep in mind the LX housing/grille is slightly different, so you'll either need LX specific housings, or a swap to FZJ parts
