I have a giant hole in the glass of my driver's side headlight and now it's out. I guess I did it on the trail although I don't remember it. It's too large in diameter to be from a bullet and there's no projectile or path into the rest of the unit so I don't think it's a defendant messing with me. The light went out some time after I noticed the hole. I figured I'd replace both sides as a birthday treat to myself. Yes, when my wife asked what I wanted I said headlights. I guess you get boring in your forties.

So, the eBay stuff is cheap and I'm inclined toward that and some good bulbs. I am open to hearing why this is a bad idea. I do break stuff sometimes while on the trails and breaking cheap stuff is better than breaking expensive stuff. I would also like to greatly increase light output. The stock output on these were... adequate. The truck is mechanically magnificent but cosmetically heinous so appearance is a non-factor in this decision.

Thanks everyone!

You can just replace the lenses on the LX, I assume an LC can do something similar or you can buy entire new assemblies and install those.
Moritmoto has multiple options for new lamps, ballasts, etc and it's all documented in the headlight upgrade threads in this forum. I used H1 HID with new ballasts and new assemblies. The upgrade is dramatic and impressive over what came stock on these units.
