Hi folks -

So I've been happily enjoying my '96 HZJ70 but not too long ago I noticed one of my headlights wasn't working on low beams. Not a problem, I thought, so I replaced it with a new sealed unit (looking to replace it with some Hella E-codes once I make a trip back to the States). New bulb worked great last night.

Fast forward to this evening, I take the car out, pop on the lights and to my dismay the same bulb no longer seems to be working on low beams. High beams seem to be fine. I've disconnected it, reconnected it, jiggled wiring, hit it angrily a couple times, and checked the fuse. All seems fine and I can't get it to come back on.

Now, I would think this would be a short (especially since its only one side, and high beams work fine), but wouldn't a short be blowing the fuse? Any thoughts on where to start here? I'm not all that great with electrical woes.

Thanks in advance!

Had a similar problems last summer. Mine turned out to be a bad 3-prong connector at the bulb. Pulled it, disassembled it, cleaned it, put it back together re-installed it, and now all is fine. With any luck yours might be as simple.....
