I have a 1990 chevy pickup 454ss,the problem i started having is when i turn on the headlights or honk the horn everything goes out:mad: including the radio, there is no power to any of those fuses when this happens and i changed the switch, the weird thing is it has set a couple days and i can get back in and drive all day with the stereo working but as soon as i turn on the headlights on honk the horn its all dead again!i realize there could be many reasons causing this but i'm hoping someone will say yeah i had that problem it was a relay or something, thanks for any input.

I know, i know!

I would bet you nearly anything that it's your Blinker mechanism. I know this sounds crazy, but almost EVERYTHING electrical in those trucks goes through that switch.......as you'll see from the price, it's over $200 plus install. I had a 95 chevy K2500 454 that went through 2 of them with all the same problems you're describing. Hope this helps!
