My right headlight was flickering on and off as I drove. I think it was doing that on low beam only.
I took everything apart to replace the H4 lamp. Decided to get new Hella H4 reflector housings and lamps; there was some bad rust in there.
I cleaned everything up and installed a new bulb. Turned on the lights and almost immediately blew the fuse. I removed the jumper that allows connection to the fog lights; fogs don't work now anyway. Plugged the original 3 wire connector to the lamp and blew another fuse.
My next move will be to buy more fuses.
Any advice?

Mystery solved. I ordered two 24V bulbs. I got one 24V and one 12Volt lamp. 12V bulb shorted after burning out.

These are the bulbs I am using:

I bought 10 just in case since trying to find 24V bulbs anywhere is almost impossible while you are on the road.

I was at CMCC this year and went through some water and blew out the bulbs. I had to have bulbs overnighted to the campground via Amazon so I could drive home.

Good to have spares of 24V bulbs. Learning curve of owning 24V junk.

:)
