Hello Guys,
On my 2004 HDJ100, I'm currently trying to replace the stock Pioneer Factory AMP wo died due to a short circuit.
I would like to only replace the failed amp and keep the original radio HU (including NAV and CD) cause of all airco features, and I only need sound back for long trips...
I have dig and dig in many forums, here, lexus, avc-lan specialized... and eventualy start replace it using a cheap Pioneer gm-d1004 using following cable routing.
I didn't need woofer now so it stay out for now.
Initials test results : new AMP does not power up automaticaly so I had to force new AMP power on using remote control cable.
Now sounds get out of the speakers but .... at FULL MAX power and I'm unable to use the knob to adjust volume.
As AVC-LAN is used in the whole audio system, I suspect that as TX+ and TX- are not connected the ECU is not sending proper output to L+L- and R+R-
I found many guys in Prius forums using 68ohms resistors to shunt the AVC-LAN after removing components but noone do that for factory amp, in fact all removed stock radio+amp
I'm waiting now for the resistor to be shipped for further tests, but now as I cannot found any threads on people allready perform only AMP replace, is any of you have any clue on how to solve this issue ? does I need something else or maybe it's simply not doable ?
edit : In service hidden menu , DSP-AMP is showed as NCON, Can I reset this error somewhere ?
Thanks !
