Alright guys,
I'm looking at this AliExpress HVAC control unit and wondering why it wouldn't just plug right in to a US spec 2019 LC if you removed the clock and hazard button. What am I missing? I'm ok losing the CD player, I'm planning to install a Hamilton unit at some point. This looks like it would give me access to the few "hidden" HVAC controls that need to be activated through the screen, fan speed, vent selector, etc... Is there something with harness that would need to be changed?
Thoughts?

For me, it falls into the category of a solution in search of a problem. Factory controls are easy and intuitive, even though using the screen. That said, I’m also certainly guilty of doing things just because I can, so if you can tolerate the risk, go for it.

You'd likely lose rear screens (if you have them), wiper heater and maybe more. The bottom one is not for US cruisers. The top pic (with 4 zone button) might work. Usually they put both pics in the link but don't let you choose. China products are a crapshoot.
