head corrosion

Is this normal for a 32 year old truck?
I changed out the coolant last about 4.5 years ago.
I am now replacing water pump.

I'd bring it to a coolant specialist and have it pressure flushed. There is a shop local to us that pressure flushes cooling systems for a couple hundred dollars and it makes a world of difference if your engine has sat for time and corroded.

It's not overly concerning, but I'd want it cleaned out.

Thanks. Good to know it is not extraordinary.
The only radiator shop in town is closed. The guys who run it are at least 65 yrs old so I guess they are scared.

I'm gonna try this stuff unless someone yells Stop!
