My -99 HDJ100 is showing this code: 33(3) intake shutter control circuit. Zero symptoms, the intake shutter valve seems to be moving like it should etc. Bought the ca- truck little over a year ago and the CEL came on first time about six months after purchase. I cleared the code a few times with Techstream but it always came back on within few days. Then I checked the wiring around intake and all the vacuum piping and valves, found two damaged wires and fixed those, now the CEL stayed off about two months. After that it started to come back on randomly, sometimes just few starts after clearing, sometimes stayed off for weeks. Now I also changed the valve (new Toyota part) closest to the turbo and checked the wiring again but the light comes back on randomly. Picture shows the damaged wires (red) and the new valve (green).
