Have a dog that points that's not a pointer?

My doberman points a lot at things. His form isn't great, and I'm sure he doesn't know what he's doing, but he points, nonetheless.

Anybody else have a dog that does this?

Rocker is just spasming because he's frustrated he can't find his racquet ball...

My lab points when the squirrels are on the ground while she is stalking them, waiting to break. When they are in the tree, she will sit dead still, ears perked watching, which is just as good as pointing. All bets are off when the pellet gun comes out.

My male standard poodle points and our lab (who passed away 2 summers ago) pointed, neither were hunting dogs

i think it is somewhat instinctual to point

Pull your finger outta his ass, it'll all be good

My pug points. It's hilarious. It's usually at gophers or toys, but he does it, and it's unmistakable. What's even more funny is the neighbor's cat, who's kind of his buddy now, will watch him do it and then go over to what he's pointing at and investigate.

LOL!

The funniest thing is that you have a Pug, the only dog who constantly sheds thier hair.

I pictured you more of a Bull Mastiff kinda person. :meh:

My old lab pointed. My next dog will be a pointing lab too. I sure do miss him.
