Hatch rust

Hatch glass weather strip rust peaking from beneath. Is it possible to remove the weatherstrip to get at rust?

unfortunately, it's not going to be an easy repair, the rust is likely in the window channel, requiring removal of the trim and glass to properly repair. Many people that have this common issue source a new Hatch from a rust free truck. The 3rd brake light is known to leak and probably what exacerbated this issue
