Has anyone installed the CityRacerLLC Fuji carb on their pre-9/73 FJ40?

I've had a Weber on my early 1973 model. I saw City Racer started selling a MIJ carburetor

They say they don't support installations on pre 9/73 models because of the throttle cable instead of linkage. Has anyone installed this using the "Lokar S-1034" adapter they recommend?

Anyone know if it's compatible?

I see an issue with the air cleaner. The 69 two barrel carburetor had a stud for the air cleaner. Not sure the inlet diameter and carburetor height would work with a 69 two barrel carburetor air cleaner. Then until 1/75 two barrel carburetors used a clamp around the inlet. The lip looks to narrow for a clamp to make a good sea option is either US 2F air cleaner or non US air cleaner. Could use some aftermarket round air cleaner, not my choice.

On my Rochester the PO put a rod in the center of the carb and drilled a hole in the air cleaner housing then installed a wing nut. He said the lower pinch clamp didn't hold it connected good enough when off road in the rough. I think he also did some weld magic to adapt the carb to cable - or perhaps to fix a stress crack. Hard to remember since 82 when I got the rig from him - Thanks Jack.
