has anybody used "Wells Electronics" parts instead of OEM?

I have the dreaded gas vapors purging out of the gas cap again and i plan to replace the VSV, which for my LX is located over the DS wheel well (i've already replaced the charcoal canister with OEM and 2 years later the vapors are back).

only problem is toyota no longer makes this part and I can't find anyone selling it. so i checked rockauto and found this, which appears to be an exact match in terms of orientation:

has anyone had any expereice with Wells parts?

PS i had my vacuum system smoke tested and there were no leaks, but they said the VSV was bad.

I seem to recall reading that someone had ordered a Wells charcoal canister from Rock Auto and actually received an OEM Toyota one. Not sure if the same would happen with a VSV.

I am curious if replacing this would help with the vapor issues, as I am experiencing that problem as well.

if it's NLA from Toyota, not much else you can do other than try used or aftermarket . sadly , 100 series ownership this is going to be something we have to deal with into the future
