You can fit a hand pump plunger and a submersible or jet pump in a 6" well casing. Pitless adapters for 1 and 2 line pumps tend to keep the lines to the side if the casing so theres room for the hand pump to go through a well seal at the top of the well and miss the pump lines. I just did one for a customer that wanted a hand pump for decoration but thought it would be nice if it worked.
