And the Viola way!

It was a later start to the weekend than originally planned, but Becky and I finally got under way late Saturday morning and headed off to West Harrison.
The plan was to camp at Sunrise and check Hale Creek out, but as we pulled off the road at the Weaver creek hatchery to air down, there was a small group there already airing down.
We got to chatting , they were members of the Boneshakers club from Mission, and they were going to Hale so we decided to meet them there. Steve and Haley in a 'yota pickup, Viola in her samurai, and Neil (Crash) in his daily driver 'yota pickup (with his wonder dog Chopper) because he was fixing up his sammy.
We took the 'hard line' down of course, uneventful and too short, the 'easy' road in is getting washed out nicely in some spots and with a few more winter road improvements should prove interesting in the years to come.
And did you know there is a third road into the campsites? Its quite fun!
Viola showed the way, but with a broken front axle (at least thats what the consensus was), there was a lot of winching involved.
The creek is quite deep where it meets the lake, probably about 4 to 5 feet deep where we would normally drive across to access the beaches farther down. But with the lake so high right now, there is not much beach.
There was no one camping when we arrived, so we grabbed a nice spot in the trees right beside the creek and settled in for the night, fending off the ravenous hordes of mosquitoes with copious amounts of chemicals.
