Had serious golf ball sized hail for about an hour last night. Prius pretty much totaled, Excursion a couple of small dents in the hood, LX470 no damage. Kind of nice, kinda explains the gas mileage too :)

Oddly enough yesterday I was walking around tapping the body panels with my knuckle, I said to myself that this trucks extremely solid and I couldn't believe there isn't a single dent.

Hail always keeps me on my toes when it happens. Good to know the panels really are that tough.

We got hit pretty hard by hail in Denver this week. Similar story, my wife's Civic got pretty messed up. My LC is in significantly better shape, but still got a lot of small dents in the hood. looking into how much it will cost to get the dents removed

Starting to think Denver is the hail capital of the world...

We're in Colorado Springs, just north and west of Fort Carson (Broadmoor Bluffs). I'll get a photo of the wife's Prius when I can get her to stay in one place for an hour or two lol. We 't get hit as hard as Fort Carson though we're only two miles North and a bit West. My wife's Prius is a 2006, and the hood and roof have about 15, dents I each, I'm guessing the damage exceeds the wholesale value of the Prius.

This year has been atrocious.... Buddy's company Highlander just about totaled two days ago.

15 dents in the hood and roof may not total it. Expect the value somewhere around $6500-$7500 depending on mileage and condition.
If the dents didn't break the paint the insurance will likely want to PDR (painless dent repair) which would be my preference when possible. PDR would be $1000 or less. If the hood and roof have to be conventionally repaired expect $2000 or less. Hope that helps.

On second thought, the 07' I was comparing your to was a couple years ago. Value will be a little less but those things hold their value great.

That's hopeful, the Prius runs great and we are the original owners.

my LC survived the 1" hail we had in denver no issues. my audi was in elizabath which got hit with 2" hail and did not fair well :(
