1. motorised mirrors from a VX or Sahara
2. Ebay auto folding control unit:

3. mirror switch:

Note: just got this switch this morning. It is not a proper mirror switch, it just has four pins: a simple on/off switch, and two pins for led illumination.

I have to add relay to make it work.

4. wires and plugs

You will need to disassemble your old mirrors and the new mirrors. Then transplant the mirror adjustment mechanism of your old mirror to the new mirror. pls refer to this video on how to dissemble:






after you put everything together, you will have four more wires from the new mirror:

white--folding motor positive
light blue--folding motor GND

orange--indicator positive
blue/yellow--indicator GND

correction:
white and light blue wires control the folding and unfolding:

when white positive,light blue negative-----mirror unfold
when white negative, light blue positive-----mirror fold

Thanks for your input. I’m sure your instructions will help other people. In Australia, a lot of owners replace the factory mirrors with towing mirrors so the factory ones are very cheap to buy. I spent $70 for a pair and they are the same color.

$70??? that is for non-motorized mirrors right? To get a new mirror in the US thy are over $900 USD.

I think there is a business opportunity for someone. As I will keep my 200 running until I die. I would buy a spare set of "like new" mirrors for $100 USD plus shipping.
