Hello everyone,

I have a 2016 GX460 with a Radflo 2.0 Lift Kit and Total Chaos UCAs. I'm on 285/70/17s Wildpeaks running about 38 PSI. These are the springs I am running in the rear:

Does anyone have any experience with this setup? The rear of the vehicle is extremely stiff and bouncy. I know these rigs are not supposed to be super plush with the body on frame but it seems excessively stiff to the point where my newborn in the car seat's head is bouncing around on every uneven surface.

I've had 4runners, FJ Cruiser, GX470, Tundra, and Xterras and none of them were this stiff and bouncy. Wondering if its the rear spring rate or just the Radflo 2.0 shocks themselves.

Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance. I searched and couldnt find much on Radflos for the GX460 on here and Club Lexus...

I’m running the Eibach stage 1 lift kit on my GX470 and is definitely not stiff. Not sure what the spring rate is or if it’s different for the 460. Pretty sure they are the same.
If anything they are little soft.

220 lbs/in is pretty typical for "light load" springs, and is about the same as the Ironman rear coils I used to have (that were not overly stiff).

38 psi is definitely high for 285s. I run mine at 30-32 psi. Lowering them will help the ride quality some. Otherwise it could be a shock issue (too much damping will make the ride very firm), although I'm not familiar with Radflo shocks.

Definitely seems like way too much tire pressure given the super light load... Either find the load/pressure table for your specific tire/tire size or do a chalk test to figure out the right pressure... But I would imagine something in the 31-33psi range is probably accurate.

With all that being said, the increased spring rate and removal of rear end weight is also a recipe for harsh and bouncy ride

If they are LT tires load tables will always set a 35psi minimum so not

Maybe missed it but did you just install these things? Lift, and tires?

I know you said new front ucas. Did you ‘reset’ the lca and rear control arms bushing to frame positions? (Tighten up at ride height). Could be twisting bushings and they are helping to stiffen it all up.
