You don’t want to miss the 23rd annual Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride May 12-17, 2014.
The event will be at Windrock Park which has over 300 miles of trails, so we can return to the all day trail rides of the past, at Windrock you can come for 6 days and ride new trails every day whether you are a stock beginner or a hard core buggy. This area is not Tellico but has dense forests and beautiful mountain views everyone should enjoy. We will be providing guided trail rides and for the more adventurous the park has excellent maps and the trails are well marked. For more park information: www.windrockpark.com
This year we have added an Expedition Run, Tuesday through Thursday with one day of riding through the park and two days in the North Cumberland Wild life management Area, a 250,000 acre area managed by the state and two nights of primitive camping. This ride is limited to 12 trucks, so sign up soon.
The included cook out will be Thursday evening and the Catered meal and Raffle will be Friday evening.
For more information and to register go to: www.stlca.org/gsmtr

It's a long run to GSMTR but sure is a fun event. There is no need to worry about being familiar with the trails or the maps of the OffRoad park, they have very experienced trail guides for those that do not frequent the park much.
Not sure if it is in the cards for me this year, will know when time get closer.

Well, finals are may 5-9th. ;););)

Thanks, Cody Sent from my iPad using IH8MUD

28 days till GSMTR, only 17 days till price goes up. If you have not already registered it’s time. You don’t want to miss this one. Go To http://www.stlca.org/gsmtr/ to register. Remember when you are planning you schedule that the cookout is Thursday night and the BBQ and Raffle is Friday night.

Online GSMTR registration will close May 4th, so we can get registration packages prepared.

Registration will be available at the event but will not include a T-shirt, shirts will be for sale at the event while supplies last.

I just registered. I wasn't sure if I would have things ready or not but I'm getting pretty close. At least, close enough to make the trip but not where I hoped it would be. The trip will be a test of many changes.

Who am I going to see there? I'll be bringing your spare, Albert.

Wish I could bud I really wanted to go back again this but the kids don't get out of school until the 31st and I wanted to make it dual visit trip spending a few days with my folks and also get a few days of wheeling in I had an awesome time last year Windrock is my new favorite park :) Tommy and Jeff are going our North Carolina brothers so you can jump in with them. We signed up every morning and went out with Andy and Roger and had an awesome time. Next year I'll offer our members the full 9 day package touring the Smokies and attending the event but I'll have to sit it out this year :(

I'm also going, I thought I had posted, Leaving Saturday morning, traveling and arriving sunday afternoon.. :D

Thanks
Cody

Ryan, can you throw my spare 35" MTR from SCC on the truck or trailer with you to GSMTR ?.

Cody, if Ryan has room to bring my spare can it hitch a ride back with you to louisiana and I can get it at a future meeting / event?.

Cody, you are going to like this event. Are you planning on going on the three day expedition run where you camp out ?

Thanks Albert

The expedition run sounds awesome and you can easily do it at that park its so big I hope it goes well and they offer the same next year. Holden and I would be ALL in for that :)

I was going to see if someone could get that tire back to you Albert. I'll definitely throw it on the trailer.

I will be leaving Tuesday afternoon and hopefully getting in early Wednesday morning if the old 6.5 is up to it.

No, thank you. I thankfully didn't have to use it. Good insurance though.

A couple of things to load up after work tomorrow and I'm off!

That's a nice setup bud you sure are camping much cozier these days :) Safe travels

Now if I had a truck that was less than 20 years old, I could have a little less stress involved. Although, it was nice to pay cash for a truck that has done good for me for about 3 years now.
