Registration is open for the 22 Annual GSMTR, May 13-18, 2013. Register at www.stlca.org/gsmtr/register/ . This year’s event will be at Windrock Park, near Oakridge, TN. This park has over 300 miles of trail from mild to wild, no matter what level of truck you have you can ride new trails every day for a week. Your event registration includes 6 days of primitive camping and use of the rest rooms and showers. The park has nice 4 man bunk cabins, 8 man deluxe cabins and full RV hook ups near the event area, but these are open to the public during the event, so if you want one you need to reserve now. For park and cabin info go to www.windrockpark.com. Here is the link to the campground layout- http://www.windrockpark.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/WindrockPark-2.pdf

When does registration close? This would be one hell of a good goal for me.

Usually about 2 weeks before, I like to register early to avoid having the expense hit all at once.
You guys should really think about coming It's a great time. It'll be a first for me at Windrock, but I've been going since '08.
Just ask Jason or Allen.

This will be my 15th GSMTR in a row. Haven't missed one since '98 and I look forward to checking out the new venue!

I assume it's probably because, while the facilities at Golden Mountain were nice, the trails were a bit lacking. Most of the trails were mud-based. Not many rocks, other than on the comp course. When dry, most of the park was a walk in the park. When wet, it was a winch-fest just trying not to slide off the trails. I still had a great time, but it was in spite of the trails, rather than because of them.

Most likely going to be missing this again... cruiser needs too much work for that type of journey and there is no $$$ in the cookie jar to do anything.

I hate that i'll miss it again and I hate even more that the only GSMTR i've been too is the one where we sat around and did nothing.

Yeah, I was planning on making this one this year, as my 80 will finally have sliders and a skid, but I'll be in China that week.

Only 34 days to GSMTR, if you are not registered it’s time to go to www.stlca.org/gsmtr/ and register.
This is going to be a great wheeling event with 72,000 acres and over 300 miles of trail to play on and we will have some great activities back in camp. A large camp fire every night to sit around and see old friends and meet new ones. Friday night we will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs and Saturday night we will have a catered BBQ meal, and this year we have added a vegetarian alternative.
Then there is Saturday Nights Raffle, our major sponsors, ACC, IPOR, Metal Tech, Lowe Toyota, Southeast Overland, Trollholes Cruisers and TPI are brining lots of awesome items and many smaller sponsors are sending many great items, you don’t want to miss this raffle and as always the money raised will go to supporting continued land use issues.

Ahh, so you're saying your rig is available. Awesome. :D

Only 10 days left to pre-register for GSMTR. We will have onsite registration at $55; onsite registration does not include an event shirt, event t-shirts will be available to buy at the event while supplies last. Our major sponsors, ACC, IPOR, Lowe Toyota, TPI, Southeast Overland and Trollhole Cruisers are bringing lots of great raffle prizes and from our other supporting sponsors we have already received over $3000 worth of great prizes and giveaways. There will be a coupon in your driver’s bag for a free ACC Toyota T-shirt.

Hey fellas.

This is my first GSMTR and I have a timing problem. The short of the long is that me and my Vizsla, Olive, need a ride from Hendersonville, NC to Knoxville (or the vicinity) on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning to pick-up my Disco. There's craft beer in it for whomever would be gracious enough to let us hitch a ride.

PM me if you maybe able to help a guy and his hound out...

Cheers -R

Hmm I am in pickens sc and plan on caravanning up with the club sometime around 2pm Thursday. Guess there is no way you could get to pickens is there? If so you would be more than welcome to ride with me in the 60. I got no radio so someone to talk to would be great. We could be broke down together!:hillbilly:

Heck we are coming up 25 pm me if interested and we can work something out!

You guys missed some great wheeling. Only saw Allen (fort knox) from NC this year.
Looking forward to next year already.
