Lots of photos in and around Green Valley Lake. For those of us that have been up there and wheeled, camped or stayed there, it's pretty devastating to see up close.
Our scout troop rents a lodge up there every January for a ski trip and I'd called the owner this morning to see if the lodge was still standing and it is! They are still under mandatory evacuation because there's not water, electricity or gas in town tho so she doesn't know what kind of smoke or ash damage there may be. She lets firefighters stay for free and she's sure that's what saved the lodge as she was told that about 30 firefighters formed a line in back of the lodge and saved it. What goes around comes around. Next time you see a firefighter - just say THANK YOU!
