I’ve finished up painting the cruiser and I’ve found 2 runs in the passenger door. I used a single stage acrylic enamel and the paint is metallic. How do I fix this as I was told I can not wet sand metallic paint.

First bit of problem is single stage A/E........hopefully it does have a hardener added.....second bit is it is metallic.

Pretty much the best fix is a sand and respray. Try not to do just the door panel...edge to edge......the panel break makes the eye think it doesn't match anyway. Either don't spray all the way to the edge and blend the middle or go past the edge and blend to other panels.

Nothing to lose by trying to wet sand and buff.....you might luck out.
Only try this if it did have hardener in it. Air cured A/E won't sand and buff for a LONG time.
