INTI rack directly from Venezuela (actually has been used in expeditions in the amazon before). You'll notice it's full length instead of 3/4 length. That's because it came off a FJ60 then it was modified to fit a FJ80 when it came to states. Came with a rear ladder and a pair of riser cables for tree limbs "authentic" style.

Im totally stoked!! Picked it up for about 1/2 the price of a new one!!! Im very lucky. (thanks RAYJON for the lead!)

anyhoo on with the pics of the beast!!

Sweet score Dave. I like the full length look, very cool.

looks great, good score...

Damn - that thing is huge compared to my 3/4 length! Nice score!!!

Hope you had no trouble with the screws removing your factory rack.

What front and rear bumpers are you putting on?

Brent, what pisses me off... is that i didnt even need to pull off my stock rack! It would have fit damnit!!... but thats okay, it will look way cleaner this way.

Front will be a ARB. The rear will be a DUAL tire carrier Kaymar (i want to be different, plus its going to be expedition style rig). Checked out the ladder today and checked to see how it will fit.. with dual tires out back... needless to say we will fab up a whole new ladder. Im going to have it come down and connect to the rim somehow... we'll see after the tires are mounted up.

just wondering how bad is the wind noise on the freeway with that thing up there???

im not gonna lie dude.. it's retarded loud.... And........ if i ever feel like im falling asleep at the wheel on a long trek..... i'll open the sunroof!!! LOL

Plus its stupid heavy and not aerodynamic at all... but hey, wait until i get it loaded up for a trip!

It is what it is. I aint skerred.

Stupid heavy I agree with. Even the 3/4 is a two person job to put up there. Wind noise for me wasn't bad at all. A little at 50-55mph and that's about it. AeroWhat? I don't think so. hehehe

If I was to ever buy a rack it would be an INTI hands down. Nice

Inti Rack

Very nice choice, I love my Inti rack. Any leads on a Venezuelan Mari tent?????Congrats!!!

the foldable sides are a plus for RTTs.

Is it Alum ? how heavy?

The floor is aluminum. The rest is steel tube. This is a older version so , no folding sides. The new ones do though. Not a major concern for me.

Its pretty heavy, cause its full length. Two of us put it on and i was struggling with leaning over the rig to put it on and not ding the roof.

Eric,

I've got the 3/4 rack that Alvaro imported and selling thru Gary at Mudrack.

Probably weighs in at about 100 lbs. NOT a one person job to put on the truck AT ALL. It takes two and my son struggles with his side some even at age 16.

Would leave on permanently if I could still get into parking garage at work. Haven't calc'ed the mpg from this past weekend's canoe trip. Dreading it and haven't done it yet as I'm sure all that extra weight and resistance with a loaded rack will cut the mpg dramatically!
