Got my 1st 40! Anyone close to Manhattan, KS?

Hi everyone. I just bought my first FJ40 and have been a member for awhile, but never knew about the clubhouse section. I live in Manhattan, KS and was wondering if there's anyone close to me on here that wouldn't mind looking my purchase over and giving me your ideas and opinions. As this is my first 40, I don't know a whole lot about them and it would be cool to get someone who has a lot of knowledge to look it over.

Here she is: '75 model, 2F (may have been rebuilt) 4spd, all the gauges, lights, heater, etc are working. Even got a factory PTO winch with it. Has some rust that needs to be taken care of, but not the worst I've ever seen. I bought it down by Wichita in Moundridge, KS.

Welcome! Not sure if I'm the closest but I live in Emporia. I have a project going in Clay Center so I come through Manhattan at least every other week. I'd be happy to take look at it. What time of day works best for you?

My girlfriend is from Clay Center actually. You have a project truck there? Anytime of day is usually good, just depends on the day. I work at a bar and sometimes I work mornings and sometimes nights. Just depends on the day. Let me know when you're coming through next and maybe we could meet up. Thanks

I'm from Sedan, KS originally, and when I drive home I usually go through Council Grove and over through Americus on my way. Looks like you're pretty close to there. I'll have to let you know when I take the Cruiser back to my hometown for the first time and see if we could meet up. Thanks

very nice...my son has a 68fj40...he is away at college so it is in the garage...and i am currently working on an fj55...hoping to have it finished by june...stop on in!
