Care to elaborate a bit on your setup? I would like gps capabilities when I go off-roading this spring. I don't want to pack my truck full like one of those tornado chasers, but it would be nice to look at the terrain and know exactly where I am on a map. You can pmail me if you want...

Get any device using windows mobile with a gps intergrated or bluetooth, with a cellphone if you have unlimited dataplan, the software google navigator will download from the internet the map and show you the location. If your device does not have a gps but bluetooth, it may work paired with a bluetooth gps. If the device does not have internet access, i beleive that google navigator lets you download section of the map when connected to the internet (wifi) so that once you are offline it still show your position on the map or satelite image.

Obviously on the HTC the screen is small but works great. I'm sure you could probably get a PDA, something like a Ipaq with bigger screen and make it work
