Goofy headlight question...

Any reason to put a gasket or sealant behind the headlight housings where they mount to the front clip? Just finished reconditioning my headlight housings and I'd hate to forget something simple like putting a gasket in there or something I know...random right?

same reason they put them between the hinges and the doors/hood. prevent corrosion and keep them from rubbing the paint off, prevent possible rattles
