I believe this would be a good opportunity for our club, to combine efforts and clean up this area.

This is coming from the COAO4WDCI:

Colorado Springs Christian Four Wheelers and Big Horn 4x4 are doing a coordinated clean up with Focus on the Forest and the Pike National Forest crew on June 8th. We Will be focusing on the area off Gold Camp Road (FSR 370), Frosty Park, also referred to as Mt. Rosa (FSR 379), Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap.

If you cannot make it to the meeting point (St. Paul's Catholic Church, at 8am) then you could meet at the Eagle Rock trailhead "meadow" (at Gold Camp/Old Stage Road) later, at say 10am. I'll go to the meeting at St. Paul's and get instructions; if they want us at a different place then I'll come get you at the Eagle Rock meadow.

Todd and I went to the trail cleanup--Colorado Springs Christian Four-Wheelers had about 30 people there, and Focus on the Forest had over 100!

Todd and I cleaned up one of the shooting spots, removed about 10 trashbags of shooting debris--target boards, paper, plastic and glass bottles, tin cans, cartridge boxes, shotshell hulls, etc. Other groups were spread out among other shooting spots, trails, etc. One group "camouflaged" (painted over) graffiti painted on rocks, another group extracted an abandoned camper. A big group went to support the USFS main effort--tilling and seeding grass in a meadow of Bull Park (near where 379 and 376 intersect).
