Alright, who was that in the rock garden on Gold Mountain yesterday? I was with a group of 7 trucks with TTORA and did not want to hold up the trail so i just honked and waved at you from up on the hill.

it was i....

we were trying to make it up for the TTORA event but things wasn't working out as planned. it all started with my alarm clock. than 17 stock land rovers in the beginning of gold mountain. then a stock jeep that we helped. followed by an fj cruiser. by then i think you guys were long gone.

made it over to john bull only to wait for 8-10 jeeps trying to make it up the gatekeeper (?). than they turned around. than another group.

maybe next time.

Ahhh yes, the Land Rovers. I saw them at the Discovery center. They were on a dealer sponsored run from Newport Beach Land Rover. I almost wish I could have watched them go up the first couple of rock steps with 50 series tires and no rocker protection.

one of the guys we met up with at john bull said at least 2 rovers got a flat at the rock garden. they were using their scissor jacks to change out the tires. it would have been a sight to see!

 Scissor jacks on rocks! That's safe. Figured they would have been a little more preparred since they were out there with a Land Rover dealership.
