Gold Mining at Roaring Camp (if anyone is interested) (1 Viewer)

Cindy and I are doing our yearly gold mining vacation to Roaring Camp Gold Mine the 2nd week of May. I'll be staying an additional two weeks for the 1st and 2nd Common Operation.

Located outside Jackson on the Mokelumne River, Roaring Camp is a patented mining operation on private property open to the public. You can rent a cabin for the week and any gold you find, you keep. You can also procure a 1 yard pile of pay dirt and spend the week sluicing your pay dirt. The Common Operations is where everyone works together and shares the gold found (but we run a lot of material).

To be clear, you can work as hard as you want at either finding gold, or doing nothing but enjoying yourself. I highly recommend this to PMC Retirees.

The access road does not enable larger type vehicles such as RVs. They do allow small pop up type trailers but nothing big. Matter of fact, you drive in by escort, park your vehicle for the week, and it does not move until you exit the following week, again by escort out.
