Going under the knife after thanksgiving (eventual build thread lots of questions)

Alright gents,

Ive been planning this one for quite some time... Its finally taking shape!

This is my beauty of a daily driver:

With the addition of sliders, no pics. sorry.

So far she has;
A never ending exhaust leak
Brand new engine (built by me, with many phone calls to wristy)
HD Clutch
Aussie lockers F/R
Marlink
4.7 gears (still in box)
1.25" wheel spacers
4.11's
31x10.5
Custom Skid plate

I will start after thanksgiving. Collecting until then.
Heres what will change;

Alcan 2.5" front springs Made to move the front axle ~2" foward
homebrew shackle/Add-a-leaf rear
Agriculture Edition Square Front Driveline
Front Bumper
5.29's
33-34" rubber on 16" 80 series rims. I have a free good set of 33x12.5' swampers for temp use, they belong on my beater.
Fender Trim
Customish Exhaust
Steering?!
Possible rework of skidplate
More as funds permit.

What I have stockpiled already;
Rims/Temp tires
Exhuast pieces
Lots of metal.
Rear lift
Ag edition front driveline
Idea's

Maintenance that will be performed while under the knife;

I wasnt happy with my crappy mig welds on my sliders. Im cutting them off and drilling/bolting to the frame. Im glad my welds are crappy. Otherwise It might be hard to do.
Finding squeaks and rattles and repairing.
Full service of anything that needs it.

By the looks of time, I will have nights and weekends to finish it between Dec. 17th and January 10th.

Im setting a budget of ???? four figures, without removing from my savings account. Basically, I can make 450 a week plus more depending on how we are doing on the farm side of business. But in order to make more, I have to remove time from my build.

The nifty thing about this is... Im proficient at the whole 'system' thing through family and Oreillys.

Basically;
Shocks are free,
50% of Alcans paid for
Free labor.

I know how Oreillys works. Hehe.
I did a Fj-55 Spring Conversion on my uncles 40, the lawyer owes me.

The reason Im going with 2.5" is... Alcan makes them custom, I dont want higher. I like the low COG. 31+2.5=33.5+fender trimming=perfect fit.

Im moving the axle foward in hopes that;
It allows clearance of my sliders vs. tires dilemma
Dont have to adjust Pinion
Steering becomes easier.

Downfall, Steering.

IH8stock steering. It sucks, end of story.

2.5" is much to low to achieve a Hi-steer, and thats out of budget.
Now, I know a few machinist who owe me a favor, or... Multiple favors.
I also have an endless supply of farm implement parts.
Has anyone tapped the stock box for hydro assist? Im a thinking a bit out of the box? Ive got a few Rams' here that would work wonderfully.
