I presume that the Ford Techs have to be really good at this beacuse they are always rebuilding trannies, T-cases and difs.

I bet if I slowed down and didn't rush I could have gotten a pass at 80%.

I didn't finish it as I actually had to get back to work. However, I went back and checked how I was doing and the results pretty much say that you don't want me putting your diff back together. Although in my defense, I have always been lousy at stuff like this. If I can grab the gears, then I can figure it out. I did manage to rebuild a box and a full rear end on one of my past vehicles. The true test was when everything was back together. I passed - I put it in 1st and it went forward.

Same here, I blasted thru it in 10 mins and rec'd a disapointing 64.

Okay, I took some time and did it past the gear section to the end. Like I said not good - only 68%. Anybody got a truck they want me to practice on?

It's a decent test. The gears is difficult but not impossible. The electrical was easy enough for me, but some where guesses.


My aviation exams felt like that. I had 8 exams. Most took 2-3 hrs. Some 1 hr. You would go over and over a question. I needed 70 % to pass.

I did 4 yrs of apprenticeship with 10 weeks each year for school, at the end big tests. Graduated and applied for my Transport Canada exams. After that it took a year to get all of them finished and passed. Failed 3 times, so I had to re-do those tests. Two fails had 68%

Worst part was questions about stuff I took 4 plus years ago.....foggy indeed. How much beer did I drink?

OK, 96% in 12 minutes; 1 stupid mistake and I now know to leave turbos alone - hmm, I'm not convinced, I need to get another fan and try it myself
