Hello. new to the whole P.t.o. style winches. when building a winch from a diff. . Are there any good set rules for figuring out what gear ratio in the diff. you need? Should it match the truck diff ratio's? or be 1.5-2times that ratio? or more depending on truck weight? any help would be great. thank you. thinking of building one for my 74 fj40.
