Ok, so whats the trick to installing the roll up glass in the pass comp. The old was plexi glass so it bent and came out. Ive replaced many a door glass but this is ticking me off. I have the lower felt removed already, please dont tell me the fixed glass has to come out.
Ron: If you're just replacing the roll up glass, the fixed glass can remain but you do have to r&r the channel between the fixed and roll up glass. It's easy to do. Couple of screws at the top of the door and a couple of combo bolt/screws inside the door at the bottom. I included those four with the glass in case some strip while you're removing yours. You'll need to r & r the rubber channel the glass slides up and down on also and pull loose from the channel the rubber on the fixed glass side. Roll up glass will then slide up out of the door and you can replace with the glass I sent you and reverse the process to complete the install.
Sorry, no way around that. You may also have to pop off the window felts on at least one side to remove to install the sliding glass since I left the metal bracket on the bottom of the window glass.
