I've had the RiverRUNNER as a paddling knife for a number of years and I have no complaints. It's a great knife, and I like the sheath design. Mine is mounted upside down (handle pointing down) on the chest of my PFD, and I've never had it come out (even when climbing into rafts/canoes etc). The Rivermate looks like a similar design with a nicer handle. If I needed a replacement I'd probably try it!
I have use that knife as my BC knife. It is great! I think I need to sharpen it tonight.
