Heading to Oceano for the Surf & Turf then Turn & Surf had been a family tradition until the dunes got closed down over the pandemic period. There is all sorts of litigation over access but they are open again. I believe they will sell 235 "sites" per night. This means it requires some solid planning and commitment to go but there is no longer any issue of crowds. For reference they used to sell 999 sites / night. The Turf and Surf bounced between the first weekend in November and Veteran's day with the later meaning a lot more crowds with which to deal. I am putting the feelers out there to get a trip going. The 11/10 weekend is Veteran's Day so many will have the Friday or Monday off. 11/18 leads into Thanksgiving so many will have the Mon-Wed off so that could also work well especially since crowds won't be an issue.
